3is a crowd new mix

The grat 3 Is A Crowd sent us directly from Milan this wonderful mix that starts from 110 bpm and goes to 160 … a journey that starts from a deserted beach and dirty remnants of september’s storm surges which passes through an autumn forest and climbs to the high and snowy mountains from which to run downhill to the next summer.

squarend#06 – jungle law

Hiding in the forest camouflaging with the deep green that surround you. Looking in all direction you know that your hunter is on your trucks, a psycho, pierced warrior who only wants your blood.  Don’t  breath, don’t move. He is searching you and, sooner or later, he’ll found you.

Looked so inspired by this jungle atmosphere, came out this aboriginal mix for Urb mag from an highly-underrated artist called Lil Silva, a 19-year-old british dj who is one of the biggest funky force in UK. Coming from the Girl Unit label, the guy steps out big with his Night Slugs release, Night Skanker EP and with tunes like his remix of Sidney Sampson’s “Riverside” and “Different”. Merging and blending styles like American House, Funky and Grime, he creates fresh, inventive and powerful vibes that make you move like a crazy monkey on trance in a tribal ritual.

Now it’s time for your next move, and a strange brave spirit start dominate your confused mind. The prey is only the alter-ego of the hunter. The fear is an illness to keep away from heart. Riding the jaguar you’ll reborn from dust, ready to outrun your destiny. No fear. it’s the jungle law.

Joe & Will Ask – August 2010 Deadly 30 min

Clash Magazine says:“[With] unremitting synth slabs and shimmering Four Tet-esque tech glitchery, Joe and Will Ask’s strength lies as much in their hard, primal live shows, as it does in their increasingly coveted production ethic.”

Last year Joe & Will Ask released their fantastic Mongozo EP, filled to the brim with darkly intelligent club bangers. Back once again after being locked in the studio, August 18th heralds the release of their aquatically inclined new single ‘Rainbow Trout’, set to firmly cement their position as one of the world’s best new club acts.

Now managed by the Deadly People team the pair have produced two fiercely impressive tracks that are well worth the wait. “It’s a summery release,” explains Joe, “and the tracks are bigger and more dramatic than our usual sound. ‘Rainbow Trout’ is a contrast between big-room dance chords and growling speaker-shattering bass whilst ‘Man The Cannons’ is jump-up-and-get-down electro house with a slightly medieval undertone.”

Techno has always been the petrol to the boys’ engine, but with this release they let a lighter sound creep in, confessing, “big summery house tracks inspired the cheekiness of the tracks.” Inspired by personal anthems such as The Chemical Brothers’ ‘Saturate’ and Art of Trance ‘Madagascar’, they’ve created a release that is both respectful to the old sound and distinctly Joe & Will Ask?.

So what’s next, you ask? An album, a “completely new and amazing” live show, a foray into fashion design and – of course – some mammoth dance records.

With Clash naming the pair their ‘DJs of 2010’, there’s no question mark about this pair’s future.
